Using the dreaded buzzword "transmedia," THQ announced a ti fresh for Homefront co-written by the game's author.

While the game may not be my uncommon bag (Earl Grey, white-hot), I'm actually selfsame concerned in the narrative behind the Korean encroachment of America in Homefront. John the Divin Milius, the director and co-writer of the 80's Red Dayspring, has crafted a bleak picture of the business of the U.S. afterwards its military and society are broken by years of economic hardship and political unrest. Nowadays, as take off of its grand "transmedia strategy" for the Homefront, THQ declared that a novel penned by Milius and Raymond Benson (veteran of many novels based videogame and movie franchises such atomic number 3 Bond and Splinter Cell) will be released at the synoptic meter as the halting. Homefront is due out in March on the PC, the PS3 and Xbox 360.

"Homefront represents a fascinating vision of the near future," aforementioned John Milius, who I will forever see as Walter from The Big Leboswki because the Coen brothers allegedly founded the character on him. "After completing my make on the game, it became semitransparent that at that place were many more stories to tell, and this book testament tender a chilling tone at this near-future world."

The fib of Homefront seems customized for those with interests in alternate chronicle or post-apocalyptia. In 2027, the U.S. is abandoned by all its allies and is thus sensitised to an attack aside a United Korean Peninsula under the Kim Jong Il's son. The actor must join the Resistance and fight guerrilla-style against the invaders in walled suburban towns across the American countryside.

"We're delighted to confirm the original element of what volition become a vast transmedia scheme for Homefront," said Danny Bilson, VP of Core Games at THQ. "John Milius has already worked with the States extensively on the Homefront game, and we're thrilled to stimulate him and Raymond on board as we develop our draw near-hereafter world into other types of media."

Bilson seems to be hinting that this "transmedia strategy" is precisely kickoff. Let me guess, there will be a comic book set in the Homefront universe. Operating room perchance, an animated short? Action figures? What suffice you guys think?
